Finsol was created in 2006, Brasil, with the objective of promoting economic development to small enterprises and microenterprises managed by low income individuals, making possible their access to the oriented microcredit, as a way to combat poverty.

2006
Shareholders on Financeira Finsol S.A., from Mexico, decide to support the creation of a microcredit institution in Brazil. The first step was to identify a group of Brazilian professionals with broad experience on the micro funding area and to promote an exchange of experiences of the two countries in this market segment. Finsol Brasil was created at November 6th, by the form of a non-profit civilian association. 

2007
The Ministry of Justice has described the Institute as Finsol Civil Society Organization of Public Interest - OSCIP. The first credits are granted in the cities of Recife and Caruaru,in Pernambuco state. 

2008
The Finsol complete its second year of activities with 22 branches, 49,000 clients and a loan portfolio of $ 47,5 million. 

2009
The Financial Independence, one of the most solid financial institutions with operations in the Microfinance, based in Mexico, the Group acquires Finsol, giving breath to financial transactions in Brazil and Mexico. 

2010
"The Union Makes Us Stronger." The alliance with Financial Independence is consolidating, expanding the service structure of Finsol and also increasing the number of clients served. 

2011
The Finsol has been consolidating, each year, a story of growth and expansion in Brazil.Currently has 23 branches of its own: 08 in Maranhão, Piauí 06, Ceará 05, 03 in Pernambuco and Alagoas 01. It has over 52,000 active customers, with a loan portfolio exceeding R$. 76 million *, and 366 employees, with 224 loan officers that directly serve the end clients.

2012
Finsol is waiting for the new enterprise FINSOL SCMEPP S.A to be authorized to operate, however, continues with its work and maintains its costume service. In this year, it gets strengthened organizationally with the strategic definition of diversification on product offer. The sale of 20 thousand micro insurance policies comes into play. 

2013
On May 14th, 2013, President Dilma Roussef signs decree where recognizes interest from Brazilian Government in creating the Micro Credit Society, through FINDEP group, and determines the Central Bank to be authorizing FINSOL SCMEPP S.A to operate. Its budget reaches R$ 80 million and maintains itself on 55 thousand costumers, now with 40 thousand micro insurance policies. 

2014
The new society starts to operate, yet in its first steps, by admitting the group of contributors and hiring services or providers to the beginning of the operations scheduled on February, has reached its balancing point after six months. The Brazil Central Bank has approved the Alteration of Capital deliberated by Extraordinary General Assembly on April 23th, 2014, going from R$ 14 million to R$ 19 million. In the end of this year it counts with 70 thousand costumers and a R$ 82 million budget. At the same time, FINSOL Institute - IF, still existing, now aiming at professional qualification for the entire personnel inside the new Financial Institution, whether it’s through classroom or semi-classroom training, or Distance Education, all with its own technology. 

2015
In June 30th, 2015, FINSOL SCMEPP S.A budget reaches R$ 84,3 million, with 64.6 thousand costumers. This new institution already accounts R$ 219 million in applying and 106 thousand credits granted. However, as a Brazil based operator, including its own background as an OSCIP, FINSOL had already paid out an accumulation of R$ 1,2 billion and over 700 thousand micro credits.

 

2016

Even in the middle of a national crisis, Finsol managed to stay well in the market, making profits, showing that it is a solid and credible institution with whom the customer can count on at any time. More than ever, the time was to work to maintain a quality portfolio.

 

2017

In 2017, our focus was to get a bigger share of the market and reach more customers, which could be reflected in the opening of our Unit in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, entering the Southeast market. As a result of a job done with great dedication, we have increased our investments and reduced default.
